Larissa loves puzzles. Analysing how the small detailed pieces work together to form a bigger picture energises her. A keen observer, Larissa’s fascination with how things fit together translates into human connections and how space can channel human interactions.
As a child, Larissa remembers sitting in the back of her parents car in her home country of Ireland, looking out the window at the 1970s-style bungalows lining the winding country roads and thinking: “but they all look the same”. A turning point came for her some 15 years later during her BArch in Architecture, when a guest lecture by Archigrammer Mike Webb emboldened Larissa to deviate from typical and rigid structures, and to incite optimism and provoke human feeling in her designs.
Larissa will approach clients’ workspace challenges as if a puzzle. She will look at the components – the angles, pathways, lines of view, natural light – and will intuitively create a space that flows, and that channels the engagement, energy and enthusiasm of the employees. Her goal is always to get the best output for her clients.
Outside of work, Larissa lectures at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore as part of their course on organisational psychology and the study of human efficiency in space. She is riveted by the complexities of flavour, particularly in wine, and has completed the beginner levels to become a wine sommelier.

The first thing you feel upon meeting Ivy is at ease. She is calm, authentic, and isn’t afraid to show her vulnerability. Her kindness extends to the uncle whom she thanks each day for cleaning her office, to the potential client who trusts her to give truthful advice on whether their office needs a redesign.
Ivy is also resilient and goal-driven. After completing her Diploma in Interior Architecture, she worked for two years to save enough money to pursue a BA Hons in Exhibition and Retail Design in the UK. Ivy took meaning in connecting space and form to create bold, eye-catching and sculpture-like designs. Rather than experience sadness at the exhibition booth being dismantled after such a short time however, she preferred to use her technical skills, creativity and natural empathy to benefit people in a more long-lasting way. In this way, Ivy found her rightful place in workspace design.
Ivy values all members of the design journey – clients, their employees, consultants, and contractors – to understand the unique needs of the workspace users, design a fresh workspace experience that represents the brand and the people behind it, and build the bridge between ideas and action. A happy client gives Ivy the most joy and satisfaction. A client from ten years ago will call her up and say “remember me?”, and she will. Indeed, ninety nine percent of Dare’s new business comes from referrals.
When she isn’t working, you will find Ivy in the karaoke bar singing her heart out to Mandopop. She is also an excellent baker. Ivy’s colleagues eagerly anticipate Chinese New Year each year to be able to taste her signature pineapple tarts.
